In el a dezvaluit ce trebuie sa aiba un star ca sa aiba un succes de durata si de ce vointa conteaza mai mult decat talentul...
Ce trebuie sa detina un star?
David: Potential! In inițialul rand el trebuie sa detina potential emotional si in afara de asta si multa vointa. Daca un artist are mult talent si mult potential, sunt sanse foarte mari ca, mai devreme sau mai tarziu, sa se impuna.
Se poate reusi chiar daca ai doar una din aceste calitati?
David: Da, dar aceea trebuie sa fie foarte dezvoltata. [adica sa ai ori foarte mult talent, ori foarte multa vointa] Daca ai doar talent, dar nu ai prea multa vointa, trebuie sa ai si norocul sa fii inconjurat de oameni care cunosc si care-ti vor arata si tie drumul spre succes. Si invers poate functiona. Cineva cu talent mediu, dar cu o vointa enorma si cu inteligenta, poate avea totusi o sansa la succes.
Exista pentru asta un bun exemplu?
David: Madonna! O cantareata extraordinara nu este, dar este destul de inteligenta. Madonna s-a tinut bine peste 20 de ani in lumea muzicii. Asta n-are nimic de-a face cu norocul, pentru ca niciun om n-are un asa noroc lung. Ea nu lasa nimic la voia intamplarii. Chiar daca Madonna insasi sta pe scena, ea apartine marilor tragatori de sanse ai muzicii. [ultima fraza n-am prea inteles-o]
Ce-ti trebuie ca sa devii recunoscut si sa si ramai asa ceva timp?
David: O caracteristica foarte importanta, care are legatura cu vointa, este sa fii pregatit sa faci sacrificii ca sa-ti atingi scopul. Pentru un succes de durata trebuie sa faci sacrificii foarte des. Chestia asta nu e valabila doar pentru bransa muzicii. Trebuie sa ai extrem de mult noroc si talent ca sa reusesti sa ajungi cineva si sa-ti pastrezi statutul primit, fara sa faci sacrificii.
Cum recunosti talentul?
David: Asta nu se poate spune intr-un anume fel. De cel mai multe ori talentul se poate simti. Eu ma incred de cele mai numeroase ori in sentimentul din stomac.
Si ce ti-a zis sentimentul din stomac, cand i-ai vazut întâia oara pe cei de la Tokio Hotel?
David: Vai, ma incurci! (rade). Atunci m-a prins integral nepregatit. La acea vreme aveam initial multe alte planuri, in afara de cel de a ma dedica perfect unei trupe. Dar toate celelalte planuri pe care le-am avut inainte, le-am uitat imediat cand i-am auzit si i-am vazut pentru prima oara pe baieti. Bill avea pe atunci 13 ani si mi-a aratat mie si partenerilor mei demo-uri de-ale trupei pe care ei le-au inregistrat singuri intr-un micut studio din Magdeburg. Dupa cateva ore, baietii au plecat acasa, iar eu am ramas si am tot urlat "Yes" si "Strike" (ranjeste).
Ai stiut ca cei de la Tokio Hotel vor ajunge atat de cunoscuti si pe plan international?
David: Nu, sigur ca nu.
Care este reteta succesului a celor de la Tokio Hotel?
David: Bransa muzicii este plina de artisti carora le merge bine doar daca cineva le zice tot momentul întocmai ce trebuie sa faca si daca acel 'cineva' are grija ca totul sa fie bine facut. La TH contrariul este una dintre retete.
Cum adica?
David: Daca i-as zice lui Bill sa faca ceva ce nu i-ar place - fapt care este imposibil - ar fi o mare pierdere de vreme. Bill trebuie sa fie cumplit de incantat de ceea ce face - si asta pentru a fi atat de bun pe cat de mult poate el fi. El stia de mic copil ce vrea si, in special, ce nu vrea. Asta simt oamenii. In afara de asta el detine multa tărie emotionala. Asa un frontman se gaseste in Germania odata la cateva decenii. Potentialul de staruri al acestei trupe este mare. Chiar daca as fi avut creierul amputat, n-as fi putut sa nu observ asta (rade).
Sa scrii cantece sau sa fii manager - ce-ti place mai mult?
David: Sa scriu cantece e natural sa fie mai distractiv. Dar si manageriatul este un job creativ si plin de schimbari. Am noroc ca lucrez pentru o trupa in care eu insumi cred si care zilnic ma scoate afara din rutina. Daca asta n-ar fi fost asa, nu as fi putut sa imi iau acest job.
Ai inceput deja sa lucrezi cu trupa la al treilea album?
David: Cu scrisul versurilor am inceput. Bill tocmai trece printr-o faza creativa si mai mereu are idei de cantece noi.
Care este cel mai bun cantec pe care l-ai compus vreodata?
David: Pe acela inca nu l-am scris. Va veni si el (rade)!

ms ca l-ai tradus...
mi-au placut f mult raspunsurile lui david...
e întâia data cand citesc un interviu cu el si nu mi-am imaginat ca stie sa vb atat de elegant despre job-ul de manager...
mai ales ce frumos a vorbit despre trupa lui Tokio Hotel..
si despre Bill...frontmanul 
ff frumos...
nu prea mai am ce zice...
ma bucur ca l-au intervievat si pe david...
